Reflections Art Recognition Program
The Reflections Art Program is a nationally run art contest that allows students of all ages and abilities to explore their own ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase
confidence, and grow through their involvement with the arts. Students are celebrated and recognized for their artistic ingenuity in interpreting a theme in a personal
and meaningful way. Each year students from across the nation submit ideas to be considered for this theme.
The 2022 - 2023 school year theme is:
“Show Your Voice!”
Students work in the medium of their choice and will submit their work in one of the following categories (follow links for category specific entry requirements):
Submissions due on or before November 18th 2022.
filled out, including artist statement and signature line. The artist statement is just as important to the judging process as the art itself, please explain clearly why you
chose to create your art in response to this year’s theme.
Following this date all works will be judged in their division; primary (K - 2nd), intermediate (3rd - 5th), and special artist. Advancing works will move on to the district
level (Council) for an opportunity to advance to the state level. Even though we are accepting digital submissions please hold on to your work, if you make it to
nationals you will have to submit the physical piece of artwork.
A district celebration for all participants is tentatively planned for January 11th, 2023, more information to follow.
